Parent Consultation & Advocacy

Expert Guidance. Thoughtful Support. Empowered Advocacy.

When something feels off—whether it’s your child’s behavior, social interactions, emotional regulation, or learning progress—it can be hard to know where to begin. As a licensed school psychologist and parent consultant, I help families make sense of what they’re seeing, understand what their child truly needs, and take meaningful steps forward with clarity and confidence.

Parent Consultation

These one-on-one sessions are for families seeking clarity around what they’re seeing in their child and what to do next. Whether you’re navigating emotional challenges, learning differences, autism, ADHD, or something you can’t quite name yet—we’ll take a compassionate, brain-based approach to understanding what’s going on beneath the surface.

Together, we can explore:

  • Emotional regulation, anxiety, or behavior patterns that feel confusing

  • Social development concerns, including signs of autism

  • Learning challenges—diagnosed or suspected

  • Attention, executive functioning, or sensory issues

  • Whether an evaluation, school support, or outside referral might be helpful

  • Strategies you can start using now to support your child at home and school

You'll leave with answers, a plan, and peace of mind.

Advocacy Support

School systems can be confusing, especially when you’re trying to secure the right kind of support for your child. If you’re feeling lost in the school system—or unsure how to advocate for your child’s needs—you’re not alone. With over two decades of experience in public schools, I walk families through the special education process with clarity and care.Whether you’re preparing for an IEP meeting, wondering about your rights, or just need a professional in your corner—I’m here to help.

As a former public school psychologist with 20+ years of experience, I support families by:

  • Reviewing evaluations, school data, or reports in plain, parent-friendly language

  • Explaining special education processes like RTI/MTSS, 504 Plans, and IEPs

  • Helping you prepare for school meetings and speak with confidence

  • Offering guidance on what kinds of supports, services, or accommodations might be appropriate

  • Collaborating with schools in a way that’s respectful, proactive, and child-centered

Whether you’re just beginning the process or deep into the journey, I’ll meet you where you are—and walk with you the rest of the way.
